The screen should be a white projection screen (1.3 gain max) (No silver screen) or flat, non-glossy, white wall.

The system was designed to be used with a projector on a screen between 8 ft to 12 ft wide.  If you are setting up on a TV then please check out the article on TV setup.

Our Standard Throw camera has a field of view that matches standard projectors with a 1.6:1 throw ratio. This means you multiply the width of the projected image by 1.6 to get how far back the camera needs to be to see the entire image.

Using an 8ft wide screen as an example would mean the camera would need to be approximately 13 ft back from the screen to see the entire image.

If the projector throw is longer or shorter the camera will just be at a different distance from the screen than the projector.

We spec at least a 2000 lumen projector with 8 ft to 8 ft sizes in mind. If you project a smaller or larger image this spec could change.

If you project a smaller image like say 3 or 4 ft wide and you have a bright projector of say 3000 lumens, you will need to lower the projector brightness down in order to not blind the camera to seeing the laser.

If you use a larger screen like 12 ft wide then you may need a brighter projector such as 3000 to 3800 lumens.
