If the Open Range Editor used to launch, but now it does not, then you've added any custom courses or resources like targets or backgrounds or sounds. It is likely that one of those custom resources has become corrupt. The easiest way to fix the editor so that it opens again and then determine which course is the culprit causing it to crash is by process of elimination.
- Right click on the smokeless range desktop icon and select open file location.
- Navigate up one folder to the root laser ammo folder and then into the programs folder.
- Copy the entire Open Range to folder to your desktop and then delete the Open Range to folder from the Programs folder.
- Run the open range to installer again to replace the deleted files.
- Now check to make sure the open range editor will launch as expected.
- Now add back in custom assets such as targets or sounds or backgrounds as well as associated courses that you created one at a time and try launching the editor until it breaks and then you will have identified the corrupted file.
- Once which file is corrupted, you'll have to re-add or re-create that file again to be able to use it.
