When installing the Smokeless Range or any add-on, the installer asks you to choose one of two options:
- For me only — the best choice for normal use. Installs under
C:\Users\(Your User Name)\AppData\Local\Programs\LaserAmmo\Smokeless - All users — only needed on domain-controlled computers where multiple user accounts need access. Installs under
C:\Users\Public\LaserAmmo\Smokeless
Each option installs to its own location. If the Smokeless Range was installed with one option and an add-on with the other, they end up in different folders and the add-on will not appear in the menu.
First, check which option your Smokeless Range used: right-click the Smokeless Range desktop shortcut and select Open file location. If the path contains AppData, it was installed with "For me only." If it contains Public, it was installed with "All users."
To fix it:
- Right-click the Windows Start icon and select Installed apps.
- Find the add-on that is missing from the menu and select Uninstall.
- Run that add-on's installer again, and this time choose the same option your Smokeless Range used (from the check above).
Do not browse to or type an installation folder — there is never a reason to select a custom path. Choosing the matching option automatically installs the add-on to the correct location.
